Dr. Ashley Kai

Ashley graduated from the University of Melbourne with honours in 2005. He started his veterinary career as a mixed animal practitioner in Koo Wee Rup for 2 years. waii, Ashley was drawn to Geelong and its beautiful beaches, joining the team at Leopold Pet Hospital in December 2010. In April 2012, Ashley took over the practice from Wayne and Sally Stewart. He hopes to keep the same caring approach to the clinic as well as try to bring a fresh new attitude to the clinic. He enjoys all aspects of small animal practice, in particular, Ash has an interest in dermatology cases and small animal medicine. During his free time, you can find him out in the surf, and has recently become an active member of the Bellarine Fly Fishing Club. He regularly enjoys fly fishing, but you can rest easy knowing that he releases all fish to catch them another day.

Dr. Kate Cochrane

Kate graduated from the University of Sydney in 2002 with honours, and went directly into mixed practice on the South coast of NSW. Kate’s husband is a retired dairy farmer, so there was a big draw towards dairy cows in the early days. They moved to Sydney with Craig’s work, which is when Kate shifted to purely small animals. They again moved to Geelong in Sept 2008 with their 2 young children and beautiful cat, Prince. Kate has been working at the Leopold Pet Hospital since moving to Geelong. Her family has grown with the addition of Buzz Lightyear, a beautiful Griffon Bruxellois. She has a keen interest in soft tissue surgery and treating cancer patients with chemotherapy.
